Ole Miss Club Volleyball:
A Leader Preparing for the Season

THE STORY
Court number two of the South Campus Recreation Center is where the Ole Miss Women's Club Volleyball Team can be found preparing for their season. Anyone interested in playing club volleyball is welcome to come play! Sunday and Wednesday nights are spent running through drills, playing games and scrimmaging against each other. The girls find a balance between having fun and improving as volleyball players, while developing relationships with their teammates. This is a great way to meet people and make friends, especially for freshman that are new to Ole Miss.
Hailey Coursen, joined as a freshman after leaving Pennsylvania to attend the University of Mississippi. Hailey had played volleyball competitively since she was young and did not want her career to end when she chose to come to an SEC school to enjoy her college experience and study education. Hailey quickly became acquainted with Ole Miss Club Volleyball after meeting a few of the men's players at an activity fair. Hailey quickly found her place and made a lot of friends.

Hailey is now a junior at Ole Miss and serves as the Vice President of the team. She was treasurer last year and excelled as a leader on and off the court. Her work ethic sets a great example for the other players and she is always encouraging of her teammates. She wants the club to be successful and does whatever she can to contribute to that success. Hailey led tryouts this year, organized a clothing order and runs practice a majority of the time. Hailey also works in Guyton, The School of Education, and goes straight from work to practice every Wednesday. Her dedication and drive are admirable, and she is well-respected by her teammates because of it. Hailey is thankful for the friendships and experiences that Ole Miss Club Volleyball has brought her and is looking forward to competing in tournaments in the spring semester. The team will also attend the Club Volleyball National Tournament in Kansas City, MO during the month of April.
